New Categories:
Individuals (single child in grades K - 8) Teams (2 or more children in grades K - 8) Maximum of 4 members per team. Family (children in grades K - 8 and their immediate family members)
New rules and format:
1. Each entry will receive an equal size 24"x36" sheet of white paper from the recreation department. (no longer painting on actual windows)
2. Paint and paper will be provided by the recreation department. on Saturday, October 25th from 10 AM - 12 PM at the Embassy Community Center at 60 Palisade St.
3. Painters will now have the opportunity to go home and create their masterpieces at their own pace and during their own time (as individuals, teams or family).
4. All completed paintings will be due back to the community center no later than 5 PM, Wednesday, October 29th. *Please make sure the back of the painting has individual, team or family name and grade.
5. Paintings will be judged privately by recreation staff in the following categories: K & 1st grade (individual & team), 2nd & 3rd grade (individual & team), 4th & 5th grade (individual & team), 6th, 7th & 8th grade (individual & team). Family will be a separate category. Note: Team members must be in the same grade category to participate (exception family). Prizes: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will be awarded for each category (9 categories total)
6. After judging, all paintings will be displayed along storefront windows on Cedar and Main St. for the Halloween festivities on the 31st. Winners will be announced and presented with prizes at the event on Halloween if in attendance. Winning painting will be displayed with ribbons denoting place.
7. Paintings may be taken home as a keepsake by all participants after festivities are over.
